As SENDCo I oversee and co-ordinate provision for children with SEND. I support and guide staff and parents so that children with SEND have both high-quality teaching and ambitious support. I identify training needs and make sure that SEND continuous professional development enhances staff skills to support the needs of our children. I am also the key contact for external SEND support services.

I am the key contact for the speech and language team. I work to identify and refer speech needs from an early age in our early years foundation stage. I ensure staff have the relevant resources and programmes needed to deliver the speech and language interventions. As SENDCo assistant I work closely with our SENDCo to co-ordinate the provision for our children with SEND and support parents and staff with their child’s needs.

My role in school is to provide support, advice and information to the families within our school community. I can help you with any worries that you may have in relation to your child's education, behaviour and wellbeing.

Support for pupils includes:

promoting good attendance and punctuality
promoting self-esteem and confidence
promoting positive behaviour and positive attitudes to learning
providing the ELSA programme to pupils

Autumn term SEND coffee morning - September 2025

I am delighted to announce we will be holding our first SEND Coffee Morning of the new school year on Wednesday 24th September 2025 at 9am.

This will be an opportunity for parents and carers to meet one another and share experiences and ask questions as well as sharing updates for school year ahead.

There will be hot drinks and breakfast available; as well as the chance to get together in a relaxed and friendly setting, introduce ourselves to each other have a chat about how your child is supported.

0-19 Services will also be joining us to allow you to find out more about their service, ask questions and collect some hints and tips which may be helpful.

I hope to see as many of you as possible.

SENDIASS is the Independent Advice and Support Service for parents.

The service is free.

They offer a range of help:

· Info on local groups and services

· Info on SEND laws

· Info on local council procedures for SEND

· Help to prepare for meetings (so you have your say and feel heard).

How can parents access SENDIAS?

Parents don’t need anyone to refer them to SENDIASS. They can just get in touch:
