Of the female executives surveyed, 71% disagreed with that statement.
2. ; 70% of male asset managers believed the situation had improved. In the same study, 51% of women in fund management said quotas would improve matters; 77% of men in fund management said quotas would not improve matters.
3. In a Fortune Magazine research report by Kieran Snyder on how men and women were described in personnel reviews, 76% of feedback on women included comments on personality such as terms like abrasive, judgemental and strident. Just 2% of reviews on men included those types of comments.
CAUSES: Women are not usually seen in positions of authority.
Perspective: Men and women's confirmation bias allows them to see only responses of what they themselves believe to be perceived as.
Questions: How can women influence each other to break the gender stereotypes?
Claim: Women and men are perceived and treated by how they themselves believe they should be treated.

The Energy Gender Gap: Still a Long Road Ahead

"According to recent data compiled by Payscale, my industry has a controlled pay gap (meaning similar men and women working very similar jobs) of -7.4% for women. That number is far higher than any other industry. For comparison, the next closest industry was transportation and warehousing, with a controlled pay gap of -4.9% for women."
2. "the median pay for a male worker is $75,800, while the controlled female wage is $70,200."
3. According to the World Economic Forum, in the oil and gas industry, the participation of women in the workforce remains below 20%. But, when you look at the senior level positions? It’s a measly 10-15%.
CAUSES: Women are faced with the judgement of not being as capable as men.
Perspective: Questions why women are being paid so much less than men.
Questions: How does this wage gap affect the lives of women?
Claim: Women who perform the same jobs as men and get paid lower should receive equal pay.
