There are 5 ways that I would use this in my classroom.

1. The first way would be to display it in the classroom for when students are writing a story. They will be able to reference the words on the word wall that they may want to use, and then they can write it in their story.

2. Another way I would use this would be to have students snap each word. As a class, we would go through each word and say them while snapping them. This could be a warm up activity before reading class.

3. I could also use this word wall as a matching game. I could have words from the word wall and their corresponding first letters on small cards. Students would have to play a memory game to match the word to the first letter.  

4. I would also use the words on the word wall to practice word categories. Students would use the words or images on the word wall and could categorize them by different parts of speech.

5. Students could also use the word wall when discussing synonyms and antonyms. They could use the words on the word wall to find synonyms or antonyms for them.

5 Do's/Dont's for Word Wall Usage:

1. Do make it large and visibly appealing.

2. Do make words organized by letters or alphabetically.

3. Do use multicolors/appropriate use of pictures.

4. Do put it in a place where students will be engaged with it on the daily.

5. Do allow students to use pointers or touch and be physically engaged with the word wall.
