Scott has been an artist for most of his life and studied at a very prestigious art school. He has/had art in many big galleries in many places! He is based in Northern California and draws his inspirations for his work from the beautiful oceans and California landscape.

One of Scotts biggest pieces of advice is to try new things and fail! Failing is actually a good thing because it teaches you a lot of valuable lessons and allows you to get out there and with one foot forward. And this applies to careers/jobs, traveling, friends and love, go out there and experience the world

Scott's view on the aging process

"Society has a mixed view on aging. On one hand, there's a wealth of respect for the wisdom and experience that comes with age. On the other, I would say there's a pervasive ageism that undermines these values often manifesting in the workplace or in different social settings. My experience as i've grown older in my field of work as an artist, there's still a societal tendency to overlook or underestimate the demographic but the other side of the coin is value of the art as the artist has developed and aged in their art. Almost like aged fine wine."

Patience

As an artist, Scott feels one of the things he was challenged the most with in his very meticulous process of palette knife painting is the lesson of patience. Learning the true meaning of patience and perseverance to trust the process of your painting and trusting yourself has translated in a lot of other aspect's in his life in a positive light and urges others to see aspirations and goals through even when you feel like it might not work out.

Scott loves to listen to music when he is painting, he feels a sense of flow and creativity with certain genres. He draws the titles of his paintings from the Bible that he feels reflects his art. He is Christian and he says it is a large part of what he tries to center his work and purpose around.
