         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>1. Pronunciation and spelling: </strong>The learner has to know what word sounds like (pronunciation) and what it looks like (spelling). We need to make sure that both of these aspects are accurately presente and learned.<br><strong>2. Grammar:</strong><br>The grammar of a new item will need to be taught if this is not covered by general grammatical rules. An item may have umpredictable change of form in certain grammatical context or may have some idiosyncratic way connecting with other words. It is important that we teach the iregular form of any verb that we are teaching.<br><strong>3. Collocation:</strong><br>Typical of particular items are another factor that makes a particular combination sounf  right or wrong in giving context. <br><strong>4.Aspects of meaning (1):</strong><br><em>Denotation:</em> This is often the sort of definition that is given in a dictionary.<br><em>Connotation: </em>the associations, or positive or negative feelings it evokes, which may or may not by indicated in a dictionary.<em><br></em><strong>5. Aspects of meaning (2):<br></strong>- Synonyms: Mean the same <br>- Antonyms: Mean the opposite<br>-Hyponyms: Serve the specif examples<br>- Co-ordinates: Other items that are the same kind of things<br>- Superordinates: Cover specifc items<br>-Translation: Words in the learners mother tongue that are equivalent in meaning to the itembeing taught.</div>]]></description>
