i was adopted at an age that most pepople are dont get adopted, it was tough and different. i grew up in a african american family and was then put in foster care, a white family who had already adopted 2 children adopted me as well. i grew up with 2 white sisters (one was not adopted) and a african american sister. i delt with alot of people who thought i was not apart of the family , callling me a freind and things like that. in the end i was able to grow up with diversity which helped me not view color and accpet everyone no matter what.

growing up in my birth family i used sports to get me out of some really bad siutations. I was constantly around drugs, guns and other things i will not say. every second i could i would grab my basketball and go to kensington courts, where i would play till someone told me to get off the court (it happended alot). it helped me get into less fights and follow the dark paths my brothers and freinds were taking. i then got adopted and was able to afford to take it serously and become good enough to play in college. sadly though my old life crept up on me and i messed up which made my scholarship get thrown in the trash. but im back and better then ever.

i grew up in the culture of low income and being treated differently. i was forutante enought to be able to live on both sides of the "tracks" it was very difficult when i was able to go to a good school to know that most of the poeple were not there on athletic scholarships but because there parents could afford it. many poeple will not agree with me (especially in this state), because alot of poeple have not expiereneced the other side of america and what its like. i am happy i got both sides and would not trade it for anything.

bullying

i was bullied growing up because i never had the nice clothing, fancy backpack, new car and the school i went to that was nromal. once i became fairly good at basketball people respected me more even weithout those things but i still saw kids getting bullied who went to that school because they where smart. i started a group agaisnt bullying and would let the kids who arent "popular" hang ouit wiht the basketball group and we even got this one kid on the team and he scored his first ever basket wiht a buzzer beater. everyone went crazy and we made him feel like he was on top of the world. bullying is abuse and it needs to stop, i donate money that i get from my job ( i dont get paid alot) to foundations against bullying and sometimes do communtiy service for it as well.
