"The Dash" explains that one's life can be only so long and that the person must live with as much experience as possible. Otherwise, if that were not to occur then life wouldn't be good to look at from others perspective as well as him/herself. The Dash is meant to be something that not only your experiences but with others as well. Pros and cons can go along with your dash that includes sociological and psychological terms that well affects how one is to another.

The tone of the song goes along well it what the lyrics explain. It is very gentle so it affects how one should actually see life as a whole. It seems in the video also its placed at a very religious song. It would depend also on the persons perspective if it is seen as that in all cases. If at all most would say it'd be placed as religious.

"I Hear America Singing" explicates the work of American people and how it symbolizes America's greatness. In historical terms of this author loves America and that he would support his country in quite some ways. He described America at the time when it became a powerhouse type of country. Before World War 1 was when Whitman described America in this poem. It would also make sense because it doesn't describe war but in ways of a peaceful lifestyle.

This mass chorus represents a voice of how America was great at the time before World War 1. In one's opinion may believe that this is what the author would like to represent along with this poem due to reasons of how the voice performs. What that means is that it fits nicely of how the country processes as a whole. As Americans, you take pride in your own heart for the country being lived in. This chorus takes great emphasis into voicing the lips of America in an absolute way.

Explanation of Poem

"How Do I Love Thee" describes a true reflection of the poet's love for her beloved person. The poet says that the love which she feels for her beauty is so strong that it fills every pore of her soul. The adoration which Elizabeth carries in her heart is a part of her existence which is why when she tries to map the out of sight boundaries of her soul and the world around her, she realizes that her love for her beloved extends just as far. This means that her affection defines her existence and the world around in ways which is not apparent to the mortal sight. Only the poet feels the power of that true love which envelops her. After adding this hint of divinity to her poem the poet transcends to a more down to earth description of her love. She says that her lover is her everyday need.

Using all women is a nice touch of interpretation of how the poem would act. As you listen, it describes in very similar ways how the poet's love is so strong toward her lover being the soulmate. Nice skipping type of rhythm which is fitting for the song and the poem. The song in ways may be different wording but it doesn't change the overall aspect in which it talks of overwhelming love. Overall a nice tune while reading the poem as well
