They can sue and be sued, write wills, serve  as guardians, and act as executors of estates, and more.  Married women were given the liberty to divorce, to own business, to own property separately from their husbands, and, in New Jersey, the right to vote. But in the end, everything goes back to the way it was prior to war except for in New Jersey.
