         <description><![CDATA[<div>The pilgrims wanted to get out of England to practice their own religion. They wanted religious freedom and to be able to worship in their own way. So they set sail to America on the mayflower for a long and difficult trip. During the voyage 102 people died before reaching the new land. When they arrive two Indians helped them survive and wanted peace resulting in the first Thanksgiving.</div>]]></description>

They later landed in Massachusetts were they established a colony in Plymouth. William Bradford was a selfless man who later became governor and was continuously elected to lead the colony. </div>]]></description>
