The video shows my first experience with water aerobics. I learned that water aerobics is a very safe space to exercise and enjoy social interaction with others at the same time. This physical activity matched my disposition because I find music and dance extremely engaging. I could successfully exercise at my own pace, learned some Spanish, and practiced balance while getting some cardiovascular exercise !

This summer I went Kyaking for the first time. The guide gave verbal instructions on how to paddle and said because of the curent paddle deep into the water. I kept trying to do this and would go to fast or loose control. My husband kept telling me to paddle backwards to controll the turn. That didn't work for me either. I needed to stop and figure it out myself by doing and gently paddling not going to deep, and paddling the opposite way to control the turn. I need to hands on figure out what worked for me. Which was diffrent than what worked for my husband.

A few weeks ago my daughter and I went camping with cousins [mainly comprised of women and kids] and as much as we were looking forward to some R&R, I found that it was met with quite a few tasks. It was a lot of things we quickly had to adapt to such as the hot environment, the rugged uneven surfaces, and the set up and break down of camping equipment. Although there were obstacles, and there was many, we all worked together [as a TEAM] to get what needed to be done complete. That was rewarding for me. I learned that alone you may get it done, but together makes it so much better. I like to go back to the old saying of "It Takes a Village" when it comes to bringing up children. [And sometimes adults].
