<title>Six Approaches to Teaching 1.	Developed in local and global context: The Language and Literature curriculum and teaching should be designed to address concerns and trends significant to the global context. Also, the teaching must help the students relate what has been taught to the world around them. As for the English Language the aim of teaching the language should be that the students eventually match up to the fast paced world.2.	Conceptual Understanding: - Understanding the concepts, evaluating and critically understanding the concepts is very important. Also the implication of concepts taught in Language and literature and practical implication. 3.	Differentiated to meet the needs of all learner: - Teaching practice and lesson plans must be designed to help not only the weaker students but also the intelligent and vice versa.4.	Focused on effective teamwork and collaboration: As once the concepts of language and literature is understood. It’s good to interact with the others as this enriches the individual perspective. It also makes the student a good listener and open to opposite persons thinking.5.	Based on inquiry: Once all the concepts are learned, the students understand each other perspective on the given concept, learning the social and global implication of their learning, interact with each other to understand each other’s culture. It is good to pick an area of interest and get into guided research as this is a very good way of inquiry based learning. 6.	Informed by formative and summative assessment: Formative assessments should be a blend of paper based and interactive assessment keeping the seriousness of learning in mind. Ongoing monthly formative assessments to keep a track of the individual improvement, and summative to evaluate students’ academic learning.</title>

<title>Five Approaches to Learning1.	Thinking Skills: The students should be able to think and express themselves effectively in English, building a strong linguistic foundation is important. Also, analytically and critically evaluating the concepts and texts learned is very important.2.	Self-management skills: Once the linguistic skills are acquired, the student must work on managing and effectively projecting themselves.3.	Communication Skills: Expressing ones thought, being open to the other persons thought and building cross inter cultural communication helps in creating a healthy and lifelong learning environment. 4.	Social Skills : Man is a social animal as Aristotle said, the learning must be used towards contributing and making the world a better place to live.5.	Research Skills: Building good research skills will help students remain lifelong learners. This skill helps the student learn and enrich themselves without the traditional classroom setting. </title>

<title>Close Textual Analysis In an ever changing and extremely complex world we are living in the IB mission statement seems as close to the idealistic world, as we would like to create for ourselves and the future generations. The IB mission statement does hold ideological bias. The constant aim IB holds towards creating an intercultural and peaceful world can be achieved on through the students interacting with varied cultures, using tools like the internet in understanding the target culture. The textual understanding and insightful reading will help students evaluate, analyse, criticise. However, the synthesis of knowledge can be achieved only when the learner is open to the exact opposite perspective it is only with the thesis and the antithesis can synthesis be achieved. The students during and post reading of texts develop the skills of applying the concepts learned to the world around and aim building constant dialogues with others during class, social etc, and these constant dialogues will help create a linguistic and cultural exchanges.</title>
