I remember very vividly that nearing graduation Mrs Loh said in class that I won't be one of those to come back to Qifa to visit her. In my head I was like "no wayyy, bet." I really wanted to prove her wrong. But somehow she was right.

SCGS's Teachers day celebrations always stretched past 1pm, so I never got to go back to Qifa in time, since the school closes at 12pm. Every year I tried, but the timings never matched up. When Mrs Loh said she would have her farewell party, I was determined to go back and finally prove her wrong after so many years. But alas the timing clashed again.

So many years, so many opportunities, yet somehow our paths seemed to be parallel lines that never crossed. Though I am still hopeful, hoping for the day the stars align and our paths to finally meet.

Your not so favourite student or perhaps better remembered as the girl with the teddy bear on her backpack,

Jiabi - 6 Exemplary of batch 2018

Dear Mrs Loh,

Oh I don't really know where to start. Travel! Relax! Enjoy! (Spurlge?) There are many beautiful things and places waiting for you to grace. While it seems like an end to an era, I am sure it is a new beginning to yet another marvellous journey, and I look forward to hearing the stories of your new adventure. You might have heard this a lot already, so what's one more time: it is the loss of the school and the Singapore education system. (My grandparents and parents seconded this!)

As a former Literature student (albeit not the best one), I find it difficult to pen down my gratitude and thanks. Maybe it is because words of affirmation are not my love language. However, I can say this: you cannot imagine how much you have impacted every single one of us, and the memories we created with you will forever be etched in our minds. Many years down the road, we will pull out the old class photos, and remember, that is Mrs Loh. She was the one who pushed us to become the best versions of ourselves. And that she was very funny also. Of course, how could we forget our June holiday lessons, where we had Biryani, Prata and Sausage and Cheese Waffle. Or our Math Olympiad "drug", Crab Roe Flavoured Sunflower Seeds.

We will miss you Mrs Loh, but we know that since you are taking a break from teaching for the time being, it will be easier for us to find you now! More "learning journeys", ok!

We are happy for you, and excited to be a part of this new journey with you! We hope that like your WhatsApp about, 行到水穷处，坐看云起时, 您能够享受慢悠悠且自由无虑的生活，按照自己的节奏欣赏这美丽的世界，感受其美好与温暖. On a more lighthearted note, Mrs Loh, you should be a lifestyle blogger! I look forward to frequent updates from @cantonfoodiedoodie! Also, FOLLOW US BACK! Pleaseeeeee? 🥺🥺

Chee Kai

6Exemplary 2018

💜

可时光啊 不听话 总催著人长大

这一站到下一站旅途总是停不下

就慢慢的 忘了吧 因为回不去啊

这闭上眼睛就拥有了一切的盛夏

Dear Mrs Loh,

I felt like math lesson was just yesterday...and soon you are retiring already, how time does fly :( For someone like me who personally does not like math the subject(even till now), P6 math taught by you made the subject more fun and interesting that year. With all your jokes and laughter in the classroom, I thought math wasn't so boring after all. You even printed extra notes for us to prepare us for PSLE and allowed us to have a clearer understanding of each topic, that shows how caring and thoughtful you are as a wonderful teacher.

I'm pretty sure most of the 2022 batch 6C students going back to Qifa first teacher they look forward to seeing is you. You are the same funny and wise Mrs Loh. I really do miss P6, which was the last year in Qifa and also the year when we had to prepare 'war'. I hope we can still meet you again even when you retired and you will forever be the best Primary school teacher in my heart.

Muyan

6Caring 2022

Dear Mrs Loh,

Sorry for not visiting over the past few years. Rather unconvincingly I must lament that I have always thought about visiting, but life has its way of sweeping me away.

However, here's how (ironically) the thought of you has continued to visit me throughout the years:

In my early secondary school years, I remember feeling a sense of loss. I was no longer waiting at the foyer of the school, waiting for you to arrive while I carried your worksheets for the day (on hindsight, this is child labour. Although I did this voluntarily! :P ). I had lost my informal appointment as "pencil box holder and cabinet organiser for Mrs Loh" and all the side quests in between.

Yet, aside from missing the many ad-hoc <s>unpaid jobs</s> quests from my primary school days, my most poignant reminder of you was the unfortunate B that I scored for Math during my PSLE because I had (allegedly) fallen asleep during the math paper. The good news is, that ever since then there has never been a B for math. The bad news is, that if you were to give me a PSLE math paper to complete now, I probably will still do quite poorly (sorry...).

I may not have absorbed the full mastery of your math question strategies, but many of your other teachings remain close to heart. Thank you for teaching me to question everything and anything - to remain inquisitive about the big and small, to be reflective in the moments of silence, to understand why and how the world works. You've taught me not just to be a good student, but to be a good person - and while that is an entire journey in and of itself, metaphorically you planted me in the right soil for me to thrive. In many of my more mindful moments, I'm reminded of lessons that were first taught by you.

I recall on one of the few occasions where I had returned to visit you with a few other batch mates, and you had off-handedly mentioned that you were "just a teacher". While the conversation drifted to other topics, my first thought was "how can that be true? When you have done so much more than any other teacher that I've known?" I suppose on further reflection I don't think I would have disagreed with you, but while you may be just a teacher who had been assigned to teach me back then, all that I am now - I owe much of it to you.

Thank you for supporting me at my best, thank you for being kind and patient to me at my worst. Thank you for handling the primary school version of me with grace and understanding. I think I'll always feel like I'm twelve again when I'm in front of you, but I hope after all these years I've made you proud.

Enjoy your retirement!! I'll always be one call away. I hope the school gives you several awards for staying with them for this long. If not, please let me know and I will deliver one to you.

Love, from a little more than a decade ago -

Qianhui, 6E 2013

Memories from 2013:

For Teacher's Day, there was this award that us students could nominate our teacher(s) for. I think the prize was some FairPrice vouchers and it was quite a close fight because students from other classes were voting for their own teachers too. When Mrs Loh did win the award, it really felt like we won the elections LOL (is this how Sengkang felt when WP won in 2020?)

I used to carry Mrs Loh's signature stationery box to the classroom. One day, I dropped it accidentally and said, "Oh shit." Mrs Loh then replied "Qianhui, next time when you drop your baby will you also look at it and go 'Oh shit'??". 11 years later, every time I hold someone's baby, I still laugh thinking about this.

Back in 2015, the haze got really really bad. There were talks about how school might be cancelled if PSI levels hit hazardous, and I vividly remember a late evening on a weekday when the index was jumping up every hour. It was exhilarating watching the numbers update on the NEA page, and then it happened - the 24HR PSI exceeded 300 and turned red. Someone immediately sent a screenshot to the class chat and proclaimed we didn't need to go to school, but the rest of us were sceptical since we had not heard anything from the school yet and just speculated while updating the increasing PSI reading in our chat. It wasn't until close to 9pm that CNA broadcasted the press release from MOE. I stopped packing my bag and rushed to the TV to catch the news with a mix of excitement and disbelief while my parents and our teachers probably started stressing out making alternative arrangements for the coming day. Was very much an interesting experience!!

MVP of teachers

Hello, Mrs Loh.

It's been quite long since I have posted a message specifically directed towards you and thought that I should write down some thoughts I have had about your teaching and how it has impacted me in my secondary school years.

In case you want to ask, MVP means Most Valuable Player, and in this case I see you as one of my most treasured educational guides. Other than drilling the discipline of mathematics and maintaining the proper behaviour expected of a student, you even made sure we remembered habits that helped us take care of ourselves. Because I remembered your reminders, my back never suffered during math class.

In Secondary school, teachers aren't as willing to put in effprt into helping students with their work on an individual level, as my school is more of a self independent study place, and most of my friends do just that to. Your're presence in my life is etched in my mind since no other teacher has been that dedicated so far.

It still feels like yesterday when I was in one of the first math lessons with you during primary 5 and had my first interacyion with you. I was having trouble tearing the worksheet out of the workbook and resorted to asking for your help , quite rudely and immaturely, I lament. Instead of going the usual route and teaching me how to perform this simple step, you wanted me to take charge of my own learning and self navigate through handling my math worksheets back then and in the future. Sure, it was not the most pleasant of first memory but looking back, it was the one that stood out to me as an indicator of you being a true educator.

Soon, you will finally get the break you deserve after countless years of imparting knowledge to many, and I hope that on 14 November when you have seen me (one day after I wrote this), you would be proud of not just me, but everyone in the 6A math class for growing into the independent learner they are today.

Yours truly,

Pang Yuying 6A Math Class (2021)

Every time I see the faces of my old classmates in public or in my current schools, I remember the time in Qifa. What I significantly remember about Qifa is the first time I went on stage to receive my first award. I have gotten 9th place in math kangaroo and when i went to receive my award it felt like the world has stopped just for me and only me. I am pretty sure everyone have felt that feeling before, but what people do not realise that everyday that we wake up we are literally on a spinning stage that everyone have thier role. I can personally say that no one have ever played the role of a teacher better than you ever did Mrs loh.

Thank you for teaching me not just math but be a form teacher that was there for everyone when we needed it. Thanks for going overtime and buying everyone lunch and teaching us math. I am terribly sorry if any of the students in 6C year 2022 have taken you for granted, but u have always the teacher that everyone needs. May you continue acting on this big stage.

-Hoy Chun Class 6C of year 2022

I'll be the first to admit that my time in Qifa has become faded into nothing more than a distant memory. But I think I'll always remember you, because you stood out amongst your colleagues as someone who genuinely taught well, and more importantly, engaged us in an interesting manner. Primary school was not particularly enjoyable for me (I detested science, and to this day, I still loathe how abysmally mother tongue was taught)- but I always looked forward to your classes. This was partly because they were fun, but also partly because you always had some witty, scathing remark for whichever unfortunate soul befell your wrath that day.

You were my math teacher, but I think you taught me more than that- you taught me to work hard, to think carefully, and be a better person. To that I ask, why wouldn’t I? You made the mundane school days a whole lot more interesting with all those funny, sometimes intriguing stories and jokes. There was never a boring dad in your class, you gave us snacks during the PSLE season to boost our morales. Underneath these is a teacher who is truly passionate about teaching and nurturing the next generations, seeing how long your career was.

I remember when I first got into your class in P5, I was still immature and got into a lot of trouble with you but that all changed in P6, I started laughing along with the jokes more and I truly enjoyed the class.I personally feel that I’ve benefited immensely from your teachings in terms of character development.

Dear Mrs Loh,

Anthea here! I don't recall much of my Qifa memories (perhaps cos I was a young, blur kid then) but the people who had impacted my primary school years have always been ingrained in my mind. You are truly the one who played the biggest role in providing me with the support system when I was in P6.

Initially, I had always walked on thin ice around you since you were strict and had high expectations for us (looking back now, all these were purely for our own good). I remember one day during recess, I was making my way to the library after finishing my food and you stopped me in my steps, ushering me into the HOD office. I was so nervous as I thought I had done something wrong. But you showered me with concern over my wellbeing given my mom was going through several operations during that period. You were truly the only one who understood my struggles of balancing family and studies at such a tender age. That particular scene will always be etched in my mind. It constantly reminds me to pay it forward by showing compassion to others, albeit through the smallest actions.

I will never forget your grace, your genuineness and your dedication in teaching all of us. It had been truly a blessing to have been your student.

With Love,

Anthea Lim (Class of 2015)

An Amazing Primary School Experience

Having spent 6 years at Qifa, and having lived in the area for close to 2 decades, it definitely holds a special place in my heart.

Perhaps I'm plagued by nostalgia, but vivid memories surface in my mind every time I pass by the area, be it via jogging or driving past. I guess I really do miss the carefree days in primary school too.

Made really great friends, with which I still keep in touch throughout the years. It even stretches back to kindergarten with Richard (from 6B), and all these friends are ones for whom I am incredibly grateful.

I guess there have been many memorable moments in primary school, from falling into the school pond when trying to retrieve a coin during holiday table tennis (a CCA I picked up in P2 and played up until today, too—15 years!) to the countless mishaps I had getting into school in P5/6. The most vivid memories also come from getting in trouble - which is quite hilarious given how I was a prefect in P2 and we had to do "duty" too.

When I look back at my behaviour, I was definitely quite a "terrorist." Thanks again to you and the rest of my amazing teachers (Mrs Chan, Mdm Lau, Mdm Wong, etc.) for making it a good learning and growing environment, too.

Aside from all the usual shenanigans, I guess some of the fondest memories lie with canteen food too. $0.40 for an egg at the noodle store, a huge steaming bowl of Maggie for $1.50, apple juice for 20 cents, a larger cup for 50 cents... Food was both cheap and good back then, and I do miss it too. The cai png store, the curry chicken store/indian store, the Malay store, the drinks and the snack stall hold a special place in my heart for some reason too.

Computer lab sessions were something I always looked forward to, as I didn't have a computer at home and there were so many fun games to play. Facebook games such as Pet Society, Backyard Monsters, Social Wars/Empire, Galaxy Empire, Ninja Saga, Uberstrike etc. and the list goes on. Even though we weren't allowed to play, I guess most of us were doing it anyway.

Something which I really liked back then was class awards being books. I guess that's when I started a lifelong passion/obsession with reading. (Sure I was reading sneakily in class and got many things confiscated but I guess that's perhaps better than scrolling TikTok.) Still remember the joy of getting a new book in primary school too.

Okay, I'm rambling, and apologies for that. Still at the workplace and thought it would be good to post this before it's too late too. Was a great trip down memory lane.

George

6E 2013

*Wow I feel old, but that was back when we had a nicer school logo and there wasn't a meaning to what E stood for HAHA

To me, you were an experienced, strict yet fun, and dedicated teacher. It felt like you had been at Qifa long before you took our class. I still remember the many after-school supplementary lessons where we queued up outside the library, waiting for you to take us to class for a mock math test. You pushed us and were truly dedicated, which is why many of us did well. But aside from academics, you made a significant impact on many of us, and I’m sure that when we think back on our time at Qifa, we will always remember you.

What’s special to me is that my students (I became a math tutor) were also your students.

Dear Mrs Loh,

Its been 7 years since I was last in your class and 6 since I last saw you. Even though I wanted to visit many times, it was never possible since they moved the Qifa teachers dinner up to lunch, and by the time I could reach Qifa it would always be too late. I was probably just another student to you but you are one of the teachers who has made a lasting impact on me and are someone I will always remember.

Back in primary 5 when you first started teaching us, I remember being both thankful and a little scared as you had a reputation of being a very good teacher yet also strict. But soon, we also saw the softer side of you. I remember how you bought so many snacks to fuel us when we stayed back for extra revision or math olympiad, and made sure to remind us to keep good posture so we wouldn't end up with back pain.

I had never been a very motivated student but somehow you motivated me to study and do well for math. Maybe it was young me's way of thanking you for being a good teacher or maybe I finally enjoyed math. I will never forget how happy I was when I shocked you with a high distinction for the icas math paper. Thinking back, if I hadn't put in so much effort I would not be where I am now so truly, Thank you.

Even the year after I graduated, you still managed to make appearances in my life through my sister. It really cheered me up when I came home to her telling me she met you in the hallway and that you said to say hi to me. I didn't expect you to remember me since I never really stood out yet you still did.

The most memorable thing though was the last time I visited you. At the time, I didn't even know that I wouldn't get the chance to see you until years later. It wasn't even teachers' day, just some performance my sister was in and I happened to see you. You welcomed me with open arms and gave me a big hug. Though you probably didn't know at the time, I was struggling a lot adapting to a new school with seniors and teachers who were flat out mean. It was reassuring to know that the teacher who I missed remembered me and still cared.

I remember how you used to joke about quitting and going to open a char kuey teow stall. As funny as it would have been, I am glad that you stuck with teaching and touched the hearts of many more children. I hope you go on many holidays and fully enjoy your retirement. Stay happy and healthy.

Much love,

Erica , 6E 2017

1) The only time I was in the same school as my sister due to 5 years age gap. It was also the year when Jin Tai Primary merged with Qifa. We had the same teachers - Mrs Doreen Chan, Mr Pang, Ms Seng - and we could relate to each other about our experiences.

2) My CCA was Volleyball and I had amazing times with Ms Seng, coach Li, and my team. It felt really rewarding to be able to represent Qifa and win several competitions. I am also thankful for the chance given to lead the team. What made it even more special was that my mum got to watch me play during one of the competitions. Trainings were fun, oh good times... I hope everyone is doing well now! It was because of Volleyball and also the school exchange program that I had the opportunity to go overseas, not once but twice in primary school. These trips were my first two experiences abroad.

3) 3B: Mdm Wong and Wang lao shi and all classmates... Remember how we used to have a brother-sister group and played catching during recess, running around the parade square. Those were the days when we were so carefree!

4) 6E: Mrs Loh and Mrs Chan, as form teachers, were the best combo — you two were like best friends! We had so many great memories together, from the Beijing trip (with many from 6E and students from other classes) to Sports Day, the class party at school, and even a BBQ outside of school after the PSLE. Do you all remember we even have a class cheer for sports day? (See pic under memory wall ;'))

5) Friendly general office staff: I used to call my mum when I was in P1 and P2... I remembered going to the phone booth and cried (LOL) when my mum did not pick up. But somehow, if I used the phone from the general office to call, my mum would always pick up. So I became a frequent visitor to the general office and I want to thank the staff for being really friendly towards me.

6) Canteen food: The mee soto & laksa were my favourites. I even daobao-ed home for my mum who loved it too. Also, 20 cents apple juice, 10 cents seaweed, 20 cents snacks, where can I find such cheap snacks these days... Love it that the stall owners were all so approachable and I still remember sharing with them about my day.

I have so many more memories that suddenly come to mind now that I'm writing this. Feeling blessed for all the experiences I had at Qifa, and the teachers and friends whom I've met. I truly enjoyed my time there, and it always feels great to be back!

-Jia Xin, class of 2013

It's 3.30 am on a weekday, and I'm lowkey delirious after a tiring day at work (interning) - but this was something I really wanted to do, and I wanted to do it well.

I guess time flies for all of us, and I still can't believe it's been more than a decade since I graduated from Qifa Primary School. Over the years, I went back a few times, but it only got rarer as we got more senior and commitments (to our secondary school as well) piled up.

That said, it truly is nice to be able to be invited back for your farewell, and I would love to catch up after so long. A decade in teaching is definitely not easy, especially when you have to deal with countless "brats" like me (of which I know I was a nightmare and an absolute handful). So I would first like to congratulate you on that and hope you have a restful break and properly relax too.

When I think back to my P5/6 days in your class, I would say that I always enjoyed your wit, sharp words as well and genuine passion and care for us. Tough love may be tough, but it was something I was always used to - and frankly, I would say it helped out loads for many aspects of life later on. I guess being comfortable with such a setting from a young age definitely helps with NS too HAHA.

Unfortunately, I'm not as eloquent as Fang, who has always been a natural writer, so I will use more words to express the same point. But I do want to apologise (even if it is 10 years too late) for causing a whole bunch of trouble back when I was a student.

Off the top of my head, there's the "stealing" case for the table tennis racket (which fully is my fault), which was immediately followed up by the wallet case (of which I genuinely am 120% innocent and still have no clue how that happened). There was also the "staying back in school to play computer games in a less used classroom and getting caught" as well as many other shenanigans. There's my incessant talking in class, as well as reading books/doing other matters during lessons - though I never dared to do so during yours.

I know I caused so much trouble, and both my parents and you were involved with the school due to the things I did. My parents have always been grateful for you looking out for me and being strict in terms of discipline too. (Perhaps they also sided with you way too much HAHA)

Aside from being a great teacher of character, you genuinely taught Math really well. In my time back at Qifa, I really loved the subjects which you all (Mdm Chan for English, Mrs Seah for Science, you for Math, as well as Mdm Wong for Chinese) taught. The emphasis on drawing models and not using algebra (especially for Zhang Zi Zhong) are still aspects which I remember very clearly to this day.

Heck, a particularly fond memory was getting 90 marks for a Math paper (1 point short of an A*), and realising that I was 6 points short due to a tabulation error. Even you were shocked when you found out, and you thought I may have cheated. But it was a genuine mistake, and I guess the euphoria that day is something I still can remember.

A decade has passed, and yet I still look back at my primary school days fondly. It was filled with innocence, fun, as well as great learning moments, and I am truly grateful to you for being a huge part of that.

As for how I have been? I guess I would say it's been tough but a good journey so far, and can't wait to catch up in person later today too!

I wish you all the very best ahead, as well as the best of health as you embark on the next chapter of your life!

There was a generally strong bond amongst us - you made us feel like winners

Mathematics was a daunting subject for me, but I overcame that fear… since I had a larger fear of being chewed out in front of everyone. I like to call that cognitive behavioural therapy

You were tough, but you were fair. You wanted the best for us, but made sure we never took you for granted (a rather common tendency for a pre-teen student). Though I was younger and I came to my senses way after PSLE, I still carry your lessons with me even till now. Thank you very much, Mrs Loh - let’s met in Australia soon!

I didn’t realise it when I was 12 years old but looking back now, I can see that Mrs Loh puts in her heart and soul into her job, paying attention to every kid in her class, and making sure that they leave her classroom a better person than when they entered. A primary school kid have a long way to go in life but having Mrs Loh as a teacher is probably the best way to set that kid up for what’s to come. She’s so much more than just a primary school math teacher.

Thank you for your years of teaching and mentorship.

A firm yet caring teacher

Dear Mrs Loh,

I feel very fortunate to have been taught by some of the most passionate and caring teachers during my time at Qifa. You were undoubtedly one of them.

At first, we were all a little intimidated by you—“HOD,” “strict,” and “serious” were the first things that came to mind. But as we got to know you better, we soon discovered the caring, fun side of you, alongside your dedication as a truly excellent Math teacher.

One thing I’ll always remember from your lessons was how you introduced us to models as a visualisation tool for solving math problems. This approach has stuck with me all the way through secondary school, and even came in handy when my sister started learning about it in 2021. I was able to recall the method well enough to teach and help her with her work —something that might seem trivial, but the model method is often overlooked once we start learning algebra. It’s a clear testament to the solid foundation you helped me build all those years ago.

As our form teacher, you had to manage our shenanigans too, and I’m sure there were plenty of moments you had to handle with grace. One incident that stands out was when one of the boys was using the stapler as a "gun," shooting staples everywhere. You sternly warned him to stop but he ignored it and almost immediately shot a staple into his finger. You were so speechless but remained calm, and took him to the toilet to remove it.

You were also one of the only teachers we had a group chat with, and we really enjoyed the occasional messages from you (cough Fanmath hw cough). That was also where you’d share our classmates’ achievements for us to celebrate, and check in on us too. There was once when Zhen Han hadn’t returned home as early as he should have, and you had us all keep an eye out for him to make sure he was safe.

Even after the PSLE, you continued to guide us, reminding us of the Sec 1 application timelines, advising us on selecting schools, and preparing us for reporting day. Your care for us extended well beyond our time in Qifa, and that meant a lot.

Your teaching prowess, genuine care, and great sense of humour made you not just an exceptional teacher, but one whom we all respect and admire.

I remember you telling us that your age is on a cycle of 16–18. I graduated in 2015 when you were 18, which means you’re 18 again this year! What a perfect time to take a step back, spend more time with those you love, and embark on new adventures—perhaps even travel the world?

Thank you for your years of service to the school system. I’m proud to have had you as my teacher, and I’m sure all of your students will carry the lessons you’ve taught us throughout our lives.

Wishing you a wonderful and well-deserved retirement.

Best wishes,

Congchen

6 Exemplary'15

Dear Mrs. Loh,

As I look back on my journey through secondary school, I realize how much I’ve grown as a person, and so much of that started with you. You always encouraged me to have confidence in doing the right thing, and the values you instilled then continue to guide me. Your support gave me a strong foundation, helping me become more resilient, thoughtful, and true to myself.

As my Math teacher, your expertise was unmatched, but it was your lively, engaging style that made your classes truly special. I remember how you would go the extra mile to ensure we fully understood each concept and had ample practice. You balanced fun and discipline effortlessly, bringing smiles with your jokes while upholding the importance of focus and hard work.

You are, without a doubt, the teacher who has made the biggest impact on me, as a student and as a person. I know that many students feel the same, and your guidance has shaped us all in countless ways. While it’s a huge loss for the school, I hope you enjoy a well-deserved rest and find fulfillment in this new chapter.

Thank you for everything, Mrs. Loh. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors!

With Love,

Ishaan

6E 2020

It was an honour and I am grateful to be your student for the later years of my primary school life. As our form teacher, you made sure that all of us did our best, if not, excel even further to greater heights.

Thank you very much for your guidance, as well as amptly pushing me to do my best. A lot of the math habits you've taught me in the past, I still carry on with me to this day. Had it not been your meticulous teaching and guidance, I doubt I would be who that I am today.

Please enjoy your retirement Mrs Loh, and to your next adventures ahead.

Hi Mrs Loh, Happy retirement.

I remember how you used to have weekly remedial sessions for the students who were not as strong at math and genuinely wanted to spend time to help them improve. I also remembered how you ended the year with small parties. You were a very generous person. Thank you for being such a dedicated teacher.

-Jun Chen 6E 2013

Dear Mrs Loh,

I'm really sorry this note came a little late, but nevertheless I wanted to mention how awesome a teacher you are!

It has been 7 years since my time at Qifa, and I can't imagine how quick time flies. It was a short 2 years, but your guidance has helped me grow to where I am today. I remember being that tiny kid sitting at the front next to the teachers' table, having those short and fun conversations in between classes. You patiently answered all my questions and messages, shared a lot of fun and interesting stories during mentoring and brought us snacks during our supplementary lessons.

Beyond that, I also really enjoyed our Dabu Trip - living, learning and having fun together. I remembered that night you came by our room and we had a nice talk too. I realized how easy-going, fun and caring you were and I was so glad to be part of your group.

Looking back, you have been part of my favourite memories of Qifa. Thank you for everything you have done for us, and it was an honour being your student :D

Happy retirement and enjoy the next chapter of your life!

- Yu Xin, 6E Class of 2017
