A lot of education based apps have long privacy policies that may be breached after schools sign up and agree to them.

When you go to school, you have the right to feel protected and feel safe. And school ensures that you're protected and safe. So the fact that 4 million Australian school students were at risk of unprecedented tracking and surveillance during remote learning is unacceptable. In fact, 89% of EdTech products used globally could put children's privacy at risk. In Australia, it is alleged a number of companies did not meet the promises made in their privacy statements, which makes it hard for consumers to have confidence or trust in the companies that the data isn't being exploited.

Studies have shown that 89% of software which schools use put the privacy of children at risk. Several software have been found to share data unknowingly collected from children. Some of the software used in schools such as have access to students camera's, microphones and digital data which teachers, parents and students do not know about. This results students not feeling safe. School should be an environment where people can feel safe. This is partly because some of the schools did not read the privacy policy thoroughly.
