The main reason being because it happens so often and we are so used to it that we don't actually recognize when it is used. When I take this into consideration I realize how difficult and complicated it can be for sociologist researchers to form a theory based on this information. Sociologists face many challenges while researching. For example, having to form a conclusion in a way that can be tested by other researchers and be reliable, will prove to be a very difficult obstacle, especially when running these tests on humans.

One of my most recent times listening to authority was about 2 weeks ago when me and my friends went to an amusement park and a security wanted to search our bags, so we let him. Now the reason that we decided to let the security search our bags is because when we saw everyone who was obeying the person with authority they were let into the park. The only thing I could really find were my clothes, shoes, pillows, and blankets, which all said they were made in China. The fact that all of these products are made in other countries greatly affects the United States. One way this can have an affect on us is that there is less jobs in production within the United States, Most of these big corporations have their manufacturing facilities in countries where they can pay people less for their labor in order to make more profit. The demands these workers are making are very realistic and deserved considering the amount of money it takes to make ends meet nowadays due to inflation. The main factor that encourages the unionization of fast-food workers would obviously be the increase in hourly wage, But there is also a lot more important problems that would be fixed if they unionize. A lot of these workers are looking for consequences towards people who not only harass but sexually harass them while working. This isn't just customers it can be their own coworkers or even employers which makes it hard to report. If there was actual consequences towards this harassment that is inflicted on workers then it would happen a lot less often and workers would be able to feel comfortable and safe in their work environment. One of the times I'd say I bought a pair of shoes that I strictly purchased because I wanted to fit in was when I moved schools in 8th grade. I moved to a new school and noticed that a lot of people were wearing the same kind of shoes which were Jordans. At the time I really only wore Nike shoes and while I didn't dislike Jordans they just weren't something I really considered buying. After like 2 weeks at this new school I went and bought some because it was just what everyone was wearing and I wanted to fit in. Now when I purchased these shoes it wasn't necessarily to impress people or receive praise for buying them I just wanted to fit in and they were a trend. Honestly when I got them no one made a big deal and it didn't get me closer to anyone but I did receive compliments on them. I wouldn't say this purchase satisfied my desire for belonging because it really didn't make a difference even though I didn't expect it to or maybe deep down I thought that buying those shoes would have an affect on what people thought of me and how close I was to them, none of which happened. When you hear about this with an outsiders perspective you immediately say things like "I would never do that" but we have to acknowledge that the people that participated in this experiment were just like us. I found it interesting how Milgram thought he would never do anything like the subjects in his experiment but in the end he had been doing the same thing as them by conducting this experiment. Milgram stated "some people are psychologically incapable of disengaging themselves. But that doesn't relieve them of the moral responsibility".
