I was 14 & had just lost my Granny to lung cancer only 2 months after she got diagnosed and she was my main parent and overall person in my life. I honestly didn't want to be alive anymore at that point because I saw no future or present worth living without her, thank God I got brought into the organization Twan and his brother Jamal were leading at the time through my high school and others in the city. I don't have cute of a picture with Mal but he brought me in first so all credit due to him too. To put it most simply they made a drastic difference literally life saving and life-path altering in my life and a lot of other people around the same age while they were barely older than us themselves. This inspired me to start living again and try to do similarly great work in my own way as hard and as selflessly as I can because it's about the universe and faith in God as much as it's about my own little life. There's no valor in loss in my opinion absolutely just the cold reality of it. 
Sam was my best friend on my block from 8 years old till he passed away when we were 18. School was a terrible place for him and it didn't have to be, and education systems in this country kill a lot of ways so we need more people working against it inside and out who love life and people and devote their own self to preserving and protecting young people. So far I've been able to do this at a small scale by myself while I've been figuring out getting by and graduating as well as surviving some emergency situations the past few years but the vision has worked very well practicing it by myself and I'm excited how it can be applied more now.
