1. Uniformity

A questionnaire survey uses the same questionnaire to ask questions to all respondents, which is beneficial for comparative analysis of respondents in the same situation

2. It has universality

The questionnaire survey is not limited by the number of people or scope, and the possible answer range given in the design is generally chosen by the survey subjects, which also facilitates their understanding of the survey content.

Disadvantages

1. Easy to misunderstand

The respondents are free to answer, and generally do not check the accuracy or omission of the answers on the spot, which can easily lead to questions such as missed or incorrect answers by the respondents.

2. Low recovery and effectiveness rates

In a questionnaire survey, there is a certain ratio between the response rate and the effectiveness rate of the questionnaire in order to make the survey data representative and valuable. The response rate of questionnaires sent by mail is often not high

Less flexible than interview

Because the questionnaire requires respondents to have certain reading and writing skills, it may not be suitable for some people who do not have these abilities (such as illiterate or visually impaired). This may cause certain deviations and non-representation of the sample.
