I plan on pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. My hope one day, is to eventually become a licensed and practicing physical therapist in New Jersey.

My Approach To Writing

When I receive a writing prompt, I ask myself: What is it asking? What must I include? Who is the audience? As I reflect, I jot down potential ideas, then narrow them by removing ones that are difficult to expand on. This helps me focus on topics that feel innate and authentic to me.

My Learning Styles

I prefer learning in a self-paced manner, as it allows me truly immerse myself into the subject. I remember new information via active recall, repetition, and I would consider myself a visual learner.

Working / Shadowing Experiences

In high school I volunteered at my local hospital, Bayonne Medical Center. Where, I eventually received the opportunity to shadow and aid in physical therapy for an inpatient setting.

Last summer, I participated in an internship at NYU Langone Health through the Health Career Opportunity Program. This experience gave me the invaluable opportunity to shadow and assist in providing physical therapy to patients in a neurorehabilitation setting.

Since this past fall, I have been currently working as a Physical Therapy Tech at Strive Physical Therapy in Galloway, where I assist with patient care in an outpatient setting.

I graduated high school with an Associate's Degree in Science and Mathematics through dual enrollment, and I am planning to apply to physical therapy schools in early fall.
