The reason I believe transferable skills are great tools to have for future jobs because you can be versatile and adapt to your job. Employer's like to be able to see you change and adapt to situation and problem solve to get through challenges. The more qualities you have, the better they will see you fit for the job. I honestly believe the communication and critical thinking are huge assets to have when interviewing for a job. The better you are with communicating with the employer and showing you can communicate with just about anyone the better you can do your job. Critical thinking will show the employer that you can work through a problem or you can work through a project and will explore all options and pick the best one. Also with technology now a days its important to an employer that you can operate different software and different types of technology. The more versatile you are in technology the better. All of the other skills are important too, for instance professional responsibilities. If you can show your employer that you are responsible they'll have faith in you to get your work done and to show up proficiently. That takes a huge load off of them and makes them have confidence in you and the reason they hired you.
