<title>Black-footed ferrets spend about 90% of their time underground, where they eat, sleep and raise their young in prairie dog burrows. Black-footed ferrets mostly eat prairie dog which is why living in their holes is a great place for them. They are nocturnal, and leave their burrows at night to hunt they are also known to eat ground squirrels, small rodents, rabbits and bird. They are solitary creatures except during breeding season where they would go out to find a mate. black-footed ferrets have 3-4 kits average which can range from 1-7 kits.</title>
