day 3- 15th March

In a cloudy morning the group started a trip heading to Aveiro, where everyone could enjoy a gastronomical worshop learning how to do soft eggs. It was quite a sweet experience!

After that, the group visited the Salines. The salt production has always played a major role in the economy of Aveiro region. What used to be a thriving economic activity has somehow decreased in the last years. Only a few salt ponds have remained. In the Eco-Museum the international team could learn a lot about the salt extraction process.

After such an amazing experience. we had a nice lunch and continued our trip to Costa Nova. The most picturesque aspect of Costa Nova is its coast road along which a line of wooden huts that are painted in brightly coloured stripes alternating with white. Built by fishermen as shelters and equipment stores, the huts have now been converted into rather characteristic holiday homes.

Even with a cold wind some couldn't resist trying the chilly water of the Atantic.

After a tiring but enriching day, we all went back to Coimbra to have dinner and rest.
