How to make yourself study when you have ZERO motivation

I chose this video because motivation is one of the most important things when it comes to studying (or working at all for that matter. I struggle with motivation personally, so this video also helped me to watch and take notes on. Its important to have good motivation because you need it to start studying in the first place. You also need to maintain your motivation to keep studying and to finish. This video brought up a lot of good tips, and I highly suggest watching the whole thing. My personal favourite of them was that taking a walk is good for you; this is mainly because it helps your focus.

Study less, study smart

I chose this video because it helps you maximize your effectiveness when studying while using less time. The tips help a lot with the act of studying itself, and how you can improve the way you study. If you study smarter, you'll have more time to do other work. Like I said on another post, I highly suggest watching the whole video since Thomas summarizes Dr.Mary's lecture. Something really interesting I found was that the average student can pay attention to something for 25-30 minutes. This ties in to my favourite tip, to study in chunks and take breaks.

How to study effectively with flash cards

I chose this video for a few reasons. First off it gives you an actual tangible method of studying and how to do it well which is nice since the others are a little vauge. Second off, Flash cards are good for studying because of active recall. I use flashcards a lot because I rememeber things better when use pictures. This is one of the tips, since our brains will remember pictures better than words. This is because written language has only existed for a small portion of the time humans have existed. It's important to note that flashcards are good for review and memorization, but theyre not that great for learning.

I chose this article because some students may question the actual use of studying. Like why should I study? This article gives you tangible reasons to study. This article fits in with the videos because it fits in the theme of studying.

I chose this article because it serves to offer more good study habits to try and use to study better. It is really similar to some of the videos, like how some advice shows up twice. But there are some new ones, so I added it for those extra tips. And of course it fits in with the study theme.
