They are in the shape of a 'H' which allows them to hold things or the claw more efficiently in a more stable way. But they are not parallel as they should be, and there is no way to know if they are supposed to be or not as the instructions booklet does not indicate. Another roadblock we have run into many times is that Tye is inexperienced with axles, collars and robot building in general, so he does not know what the premise of tightening collars onto an axles flat piece for example.
