College admittance in correlation

According to Inside Ed Education, different racial groups need different standards in order to be accepted into College or University. Asians require higher scores than other groups such as whites and blacks. Higher Ed says that a black student will have the same chance of admittance with a 27.0 ACT score compared to an Asian with a 30.8.

I believe this is terribly wrong. In my opinion, the smartest and most qualified person should be the first picked person. As soon as race is brought into a conversation when only fact matters, all of the merit to ones acceptance is gone.

Affirmative action in colleges

According to the New York Times , the Affirmative Action Act says that all students have equal opportunities of acceptance compared to other students. However, this is potentially unconstitutional and utter racism against more deserving or harder working students.

As I previously said; this is wrong. Your race or ethnicity should never change the chance of you being accepted or chosen for a position.

Defending Huck Fin

This article states that the teaching of Huck fin should be done with sensitivity and caution while still outlining the ant-slavery notion that Huck Finn Produces. There is controversy over Huck Finn because of its constant use of the N-word (over 200 times).

I agree that the novel should be taught with respect however what is written in a book cannot hurt anyone. The racism in Huck Finn should be depicted and displayed in a fashion in which students can understand the awful affects of racism.

Who can use the N-word?

According to the men and women in the video, the N-word is something that only certain groups of people can morally use. I disagree with this. I'd like to preface my statement by saying that I do not condone anyone using words of derogatory meaning.

That being said, It is wrong to allow one group of people to do something, and completely disallow another group to do it as well. The suppression of speech by any group to another in unconstitutional and against american principles.

Man runs over protesters with racial or violent motivations.

According to the Guardian, an Ohio man drove his car into a crowd of protesters who of which he violently apposed. The man (James Field) was arrested with counts of murder and failure to stop at an accident where death was present. I believe this man either committed this act of violence to show his bigoted beliefs on race, or simply pure violent motives as it has been noted that he was a Nazi ans white supremacist sympathizer.

This is awful. Actions of violence should never be used in order to display a political view. This was completely unacceptable.
