My initial thoughts and feelings after looking at the painting are sadness, colorful, and intricate.

The colors seem very dull, but also bright so it does give me sort of a sad feeling while looking at it. The dark background adds to that feeling and the brighter colors have a harder time standing out. The circles are very satisfying to look at since they are drawn very precisely. It connects to the broader theme of exploration since there are some intense colors used.
