∙ We do the maths questions off the slide as well (they have been about time lately)

* We are currently using picture prompts to try and give us a bit of variety - I have printed  out the prompts and have written which date they are from if you want to get the story to go with  them) 

* If they use the Word of the day they get 1 whare point (they take it from the basket and  zoom to the office to put it in the container when you have said they have used it correctly in the  writing) 

* I am pushing the Year3/4s hard for details details details. (Push hard they will try and get  away with not much) 

* You will need to write Marco and Tumanakos for them and they will attempt to copy  underneath. 

* Cadence will write her own then you decipher it, write it for her and she copies  underneath.

Once they have written we tend to have ‘block –o’clock’ with kids coming and going (Kirsty's groups)  all block some need until morning tea to finish writing and others don’t.

10:50 a.m. - Interval - Morning Tea (Duty Mon) 
11:30 a.m. - Dictation – Te Amorangi will set it all up before you get back from Morning Tea. She will  boss you around and explain what to do ☺ 
11:50 - Reading – In bins ready to go (purple bins behind where I sit) 

They can play the word games while groups happen – they know exactly what to do 

Briah and Desiree – Just give them the Junior Journal and the worksheets – they will happily work in  the room next door and sort themselves out. Vaughan often just takes his book and goes and joins  them. 

If they don’t have a bookbag (lots won’t) – the book just goes into their bookbox (blue) – they know  what to do.
