Factor: Entrepreneurship
- Lore & his partners found out that at some point when shipping large amounts of product the shippers charge a price based on the dimensions of the box instead of the weight. They encouraged buyers to buy products other than diapers to take up space for shipping. They encouraged this because the marginal cost for shipping another item was lower than the MC for diapers so they could profit off of selling other items in addition to diapers.

Lore’s Early Life Card Business

Factor: Entrepreneurship
- As a kid Marc Lore would buy cards with his buddies and sort them and re-sell them for more because the cards were sorted. This is one example of many strategies Lore used to make money. Lore did anything he could as a kid to make money. His passion for making money through cards continued when he raised 5 million dollars through an athlete card trading company. When players did well the value of the card went up and vice versa. When a stock market crashed nobody had money to use Lore’s trading card business anymore. He could not profit off the company anymore so he sold his company for 5.7 million to Topps.
