yaneks and his family live and crack out Poland Poland but in just a blink of Nevada their city was invaded by the Germans in the beginning of World War II for now Yaneks in his family remain in crack coat for a little while while they stay in their flat with several of other families anti-Semitic rules have been put in place that toke jewish people taking away any rights they had over time walls are built up around the ghetto to contain the remaining juice who have not been taken from resettled and abortion yet one by one we need juice where we located to other ghettos work camp consultation camps or kill on site

Yaneks figurative journey

the stress of no food and no constant hiding yanek is living in a fear of being caught by the Nazis this emotional state is one of the contrast hair and panic out what awaits him at every turn the unknown aspects of the war leave a feeling of unsettlement yannick's early life as a 2-year-old boy before this war was very normal he attended school Fatal with his friends and went to synagogue with his family he loves his mom and dad and looks up to them but as the work continues yonic begins to doubt his father's constant hopefulness and positivity and wonders who is really right his father or Uncle Moshi and the krackow ghetto is in chables he still want worried he was wrong but fresh man made me forget all my troubles for a little while at least page 25 doubting your parents for the first time as I struggle for younic especially war torn poland

Yannick is going through a really rough time because he has lost everything and moved out the ghetto. he has he lost his parents it really hit him hard he was thinking about getting himself out for but didn't instead he was a very brave boy and went to the Concentration camp. When he was there he met his uncle Moshe and his uncle told him to keep a low profile and not do anything that would make him seen which made yanick listen to him.

yannicks physical journey

yanek is at a salt mine after leaving a work camp and while he was there a person who was a judenrat was killed and tortured. But Yanick does not feel bad because this is the same man who ratted out his family.

in his journey he is having to lift rock and work. while he was there another miner got in a fight with a nazi and Yankee was not happy that guy made others die for his actions. before that man started to fight back yanicks thought about doing it but had a change of heart.

On the way to the camp yanek is dropped in a train with strangers. while on the train some people die and yanek has to brave it out but he is scared and is struggling. there is also no food or water so yanek must eat snow to survive.

Yanek figurative journey

when he was there he had a secret Bar mizvah for a kid which shows that he has matured into a adult and is no longer scared. and later he saw a prison break and many people are killed because of it and yanek survives because he decided not to go.

chapter 19-21

he learns no to draw attention after the SS officer killed Fred for being sick. yanek sees cruelty on the death march because any body that can't keep up is killed.this is very messed up and cruel because they do not get to choose if they go or not because if they don't go they will be killed because if they are not killed the alies will hear the war crimes the Nazis did.

Yanick has to lift heavy rocks and it is hurting him very badly. after all the moving around yanick also starts to think the war is coming to an end and he believes he just has to make it till the end of the war So he is liberated for his family. But this will be hard because the of condition he is in.

Yacnick saw boy on the verge of becoming a musleman and shot. So he helped him in hopes he would get some bread which shows how much he has changed because to get this bread the boy would need to die. But he ended up using to much to energy and struggling to make it through the deportation which was very hard on yannick.

yanick is very tired after the march but luckily he is given food and rest and not told to work which makes yanick very happy. he is happy because if he had to work he most likely would have died. from the over working and beatings at this point he was praying for Liberation.

while at the camp everything is sloppy and messy and the bombs and gunshots are getting closer. one day the prisoner all woke up with out getting yelled this makes yanek confused. Then a prisoner comes in and said there are no guards and at first yannick could not believe it. But then the Americans came and said it them selves and yannick was in utter disbelieve after everything he had been through he was finally liberated.

Yanek hardly notices the euphemism all around him anymore. He tries to sleep as much as possible to take his mind off of starvation. Yanek hears planes flying over the train and a bomb exploding nearby. For a moment, Yanek thinks that he wants the bombs to strike the train so this nightmare would end.

Yaneck is freed and back with Allies and he does not know what to do. He is happy because the anti semitism has stopped but sad for the people he lost. He also finds out some of his family is still alive and is relieved and goes to see them. In the end he says he is happy to have made it but sad for the lost.
