"I don't care" has a negative meaning, that's why we use I don't mind in order to say something in a positive way

Xavier, the sentence "I don't care" has a negative meaning. That's why we use "I don't mind"
It's ok when you say "I hate babies" but the idea is that you express an action, something you hate doing... like "I hate crying", for example.
