  • Pricey healthcare fees  
    • The insurance scheme only provides coverage for hospitalisation & surgery at MOH hospitals. 
    • This often led them avoiding hospital visits as it was pricey for them causing their injuries to worsen. 
    • It was unfair that there are differences in hospital fees between Malaysian citizens and foreigners. 
  • Law and regulation set for the immigrants in Malaysia
    • Undocumented immigrants often being rejected in receiving healthcare.
    • This is because some of the immigrants are illegal and the fear of being deported back to their country caused them to reject going to the hospitals. 
    • These days, most hospitals use advanced computer systems that have citizens identification information. However, the system only provide easy access to the citizen but not immigrants as their information would be undocumented causing their identity hard to be identified.
