Another variable that should be controlled is the volume at which the hearing test is administered, this can be controlled by providing a set volume for the test before the test and sticking to it throughout the test. Finally, another variable that should be controlled is where the person taking the test is in relation to the speaker administrating the test, this can be controlled by marking on the floor with tape or a chair where the person will sit and also marking where the speaker will be ahead of time.
