However, to benefit the student I believe that IEP's should be shared with paraprofessionals. There have been soo many cases where I have been put on a student that I have zero history with and know nothing about. This can be seen as extending due dates, allowing open seating, and allowing students to have fidgets/allow them to fidget. Personally, I often struggle sitting in one place for a long time and I need a fidget (can be as simple as drawing on paper) in order to actually listen and focus. He was able to learn in the classroom and how to integrate into society. As a future educator, I believe my job is to help students succeed, regardless of their needs. I will make it my goal to understand and adapt to their needs. To check for the reliability of the IEP I would look toward the improvement of students. Are they excelling? Are these students learning? Are they engaged?
