When screencasting to show students how to use Edgenuity, sometimes the screen being projected to them was NOT the screen I wanted to show them on Edgenuity. It's something to do with the way Edgenuity uses pop ups. What I ended up doing was using a second device (logged onto my room and muted) with my host screen pinned so I could see what my students were seeing. It alleviated a lot of "teacher, we can't see what you're talking about!" comments and confused students.

I liked that the groups were small, more than 5. The small groups made Zoom lessons more meaningful, interactive, and personal. I enjoyed making that personal connection with them, and they did with each other. I felt that they learned more from my sessions than they did on Edgenuity.

I hope more teachers will be able to join and truly help those students who need helps. As Special Project Office expands the program to all of the sites, I think it is recommended that the group is sorted by grade level than mixed. Any newcomers need to be designated to become separate group.

It was a great way to build positive relationships with families. The small group size was awesome and intimate. I think for future reference, creating a Google Classroom for tutoring would be a great way for students to access materials and complete work.

Small groups made lessons more interactive and definitely helped build relationships. The idea that we could build upon the students' performance in Success Maker was great in theory, but in reality, the kids didn't get on enough to give me any meaningful info I could build on. Not sure how we could get them to go on more consistently.

Edgenuity did not do a great job of tracking student usage. It did not make it easy for them to have a linear course to follow, students were unsure of what they should be working on. With the success of small groups and the support of Khan academy, we were able to have interactive and in depth discussions on several difficult concepts.

Having a smaller groups to work with was perfect. I was able to teach to their level and address their instructional needs. For Dual schools, it was nice to have had the opportunity to teach the lessons in their primary language what made a huge difference. K-2 students are learning to read in Spanish and need the intervention in the same language that they are learning to read. Also ARC and Raz Kids was a great tool to use for independent reading, guided reading lessons and also being able to hear students recordings of them reading books. Most of my students moved one or two levels in reading. We need to continue supporting students with programs like these!
