Progress report- 3-07 - So I need to practice because I can't play certain sections of the pieces specifically married life because I have an important solo
Progress report-3-20- I worked more on my problem areas specifically symphony and merry go round of life. I am also playing my melody in the up theme song better.
Progress report-3-29- I'm able to play most of my pieces and am almost ready to perform.
Summary- Overall the performance went good. We had a little mix up in the road map for rondeau during our performance but other than that everything went smoothly. I thought that the pieces we picked out and played were nice. We had a rough time getting started but after that we learned the pieces with little to no problems. I really enjoyed the opportunity to pick a group of people and turn some notes on a page into music that we can perform for you and my peers. March 7th Progress report:
I can slowly decipher our music so far, but I need to individually practice the notes and rhythms in order to keep the pieces sounding uniform and practiced. As we each individually practice, our mini orchestra will begin to not only play the notes, but create music. 


Video/ Progress Report:
So far our group has managed to play through each piece semi-together. Of course there are parts of each in which we struggle to play; however, Symphony is coming along quite nicely. Since it's a challenge, I think our group enjoys playing it and figuring out how to notes and such fit together. Rondeau is personally my favorite and together it sounds amazing.


Reflection:
I love this project. It has brought me so much closer to my classmates and has required outside of class motivation and rehearsals. I learned more about music and my orchestra friends that has encouraged me to become more engaged in orchestra and the program.

Additionally, for the all the pieces, I would like to add simple embellishments to them so they go from being considered decent pieces to polished ones. Learning music on our own and helping each other really strengthens our musical capabilities. I hope we will be able to play the pieces as smoothly as possible and stay all together. 

Progress Report:
So far we are able to play bits and pieces of our music. Symphony 25 isn't as hard as i thought it would be but its definitely challenging. I think that we need to get better at staying focused during rehearsal time and get through our pieces. I really enjoy Rondeau! I like the medley and when we all play together it sounds really pretty. 

Reflection:
I really enjoy this project because it gives me the opportunity to work with my peers and gain more personal experience in playing my violin. I really liked how we could pick our own pieces and group because we picked people we work well with. Not only did I gain more experience playing, I also got closer to the people in our group. This project gave us the responsibility of learning our music and getting together outside of school to practice. I'm really glad we did this project this year!! It was really fun and i'm sad that I will not be here next year to do it :(

We have to work on counting and staying together but overall it’s coming along. Some quick parts in symphony are tough for everyone but we are working through it. We need to work harder with staying in tune also as there is shifting in some songs and so it makes it harder to stay in tune together. We also need to work on tempo changes in songs like married life because it tends to get off track there. There were some moments where it seemed like we would have to switch songs but in the end we managed to accomplish what we wanted and perform pretty well. I’m personally impressed with how we played a song like symphony based on how we had less time and instruction than usual. I also think we picked good and different pieces rather than just sticking with basic pieces that are played all the time. Our group also got along really well throughout the process and there wasn’t any conflict within the group. I think we excelled in pieces like rondeau, married life, and for the most part symphony no. 25. I liked the liberty we had with the pieces we chose and how we practiced. While sometimes we did get distracted (lol), I still feel like I communicated very well with my group members. We were able to work together quite well considering that before this I didn't talk much to some of them. I also liked how we could basically chose any pieces we wanted. This project took into account cooperativeness along with one's own tastes which I really liked. Overall, I enjoyed it, especially due to the people who I had in my group.
