In this aspect, the decisions of a human being. This would be true if there were a finite amount of factors, however, because the factors are infinite, there is no way to truly define the future. 'Infinite' is not just a very very large number. Infinite is INFINITE.  I would say however, that external factors do define what we decide. Even when we are trying to do things for other people, we are mostly benefiting ourselves, because helping them is what we want to do the most, so it will fulfill us the most.
