A skill I grew throughout the course over the second term was my Oral communication skills with my peers. For my group discussions, before the meetings, I would organize all of my jot notes in my journal and practice reading it aloud and adding onto what I'd written down. During the meetings themselves, I would allow my peers to speak about the question and say my part making sure to speak with a clear and loud enough voice towards my group members making sure to make eye contact

This piece of media was when we worked in groups to explore and find out the 94 promises the government made to indigenous people. A skill I believe I improved over the course is lateral reading being able to easily and proficiently research more in depth with topics we discuss. My main takeaway from the assignment is nothing is being done a skill I need to improve with this piece of work is going in depth by giving examples in my writing to further prove my point of nothing being done.

My reflection on the novel 7 fallen feather's is a piece of work I am very proud of. My ability to read and understand texts is a skill I've developed through the course and nearly mastered by the time of group novel work. I was able to find the deeper themes of the text and evaluate how the North Bay police failed to take these cases seriously connecting their ignorance to a deeply seeded racial agenda within the North Bay police.

We Were Children Reflection

A piece of media we explored in class was We Were Children. The skill of intaking media and then writing about it was a skill I believe I excelled at being able to understand themes and the deeper meanings to media. My ability to connect their beliefs and trauma and how it improved their resiliance and strengthened their cultural beliefs. I was able to make connections between the events and assess the meaning of this piece of media

I believe I took adequate notes to help me prepare for the test laying it out in a clear and understandable way I believe I could improve this skill to help study in the future by going into further detail and apply and practice these notes to further my writing and comprehension abilitys

This is some of the notes I organised for one of my novel group meetings I made them very clear and easy to refer to when talking to my groups. I organised this after compiling a bunch of sticky jot notes I took while reading my novel. I am able to clearly state and describe my answer to these questions such as when I wrote how the story is told from the main characters perspective very well and descriptively. I also was able to easily add and build off of these idea if needed adding extra detail and context if needed

For my process to prepare for my presentation of Seven Fallen Feathers I wrote down key pieces of information onto a que card and practiced reading it outloud to myself a couple times until I could speak about my Fallen Feather without having to refer to my jot notes. For the presentation itself I spoke in a clear voice and spoke directly to the parts of the room left right and center to give a clear and concise presentation.
