Many people in Allendale had friends or family who were killed, or barely survived in the crashing of the buildings. They were citizens of this country, and the town and people show respect to 9/11 by having this memorial and having a ceremony every 9/11. These people will always be remembered as some of the bravest people in our country.

You say goodbye to your father that morning, but he never comes back from work.  This was an experience of many kids.  Firefighters, business workers, and police officers died on this day.  Many children’s memories of their parents or other relatives will fade over time.  These memorials are all they have left other than the photos.  It reminds them of what their parents did on that day, and it honors their memory. Not only does it remind the family of those who died, but also of those who lived. Without some of those rescuers, many people wouldn't be alive today, and they are able to honor and thank the people who died for them. It’s next to the Red Barn at Crestwood Lake. It is a memorial dedicated to all the people who lost their lives on 9/11. There is a ceremony at this memorial everyday 9/11, to remember the event. 
This memorial show many of the citizenship traits but the one that stands out the most is respect. When you visit this memorial you can not help but to respect the sacrifice of the people that died that day. We keep them in our memories.

By naming a street after Bruce S. MacIntyre, who lost his life fighting for our country during World War II, our town is honoring his memory.  He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal, and he died in battle. Although he was only 29 when he died, he made a great sacrifice for his country and should be honored. MacIntyre Lane has two major entrances, one with MacIntyre's full name and the war he served in, and the other with a gold star, saying that the street was named after a war hero who served our country. Every time we go by an Allendale street with a gold star or name on it, we should stop to honor the person it was named after. He or she most likely died for our country. By putting up this street sign, we are honoring Bruce Stewart MacIntyre. If you do not stop at a red light, it is very disrespectful and it could lead to serious injury from things such as car crashes. If you blow a red light, you can get a ticket which is known as breaking a law. This is also very similar to the speed limit. When you get caught speeding, you are breaking a law. By doing this you are being very disrespectful and harmful just like when someone doesn't stop at a red light.
