I also identified relevant ethical considerations for each of the dispositions related to the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification ethical code. Additionally, I highlighted how each of the dispositions are represented in my graduate and professional experiences. The significance of dispositions and standards in the mental health field is also described. Consideration was also given to my thoughts of each of the therapists and my perception of the client’s thoughts of each of the therapists. When determining an appropriate response to suspicions or allegations of child abuse, I thought it important to provide background details using fact-based information. My crisis response plan consisted of preventing child abuse by emphasizing protective factors. An additional component is how I would prepare myself as a helping professional to be most effective. The level of response needed when addressing child abuse is also outlined. Lastly, strategies and methods for assisting in the recovery process are highlighted. Using a systematic approach allows for courses of action to be explained in an ethical and professional manner. To complete the project, a case study consisting of an ethical dilemma was analyzed. The analysis also included identifying relevant codes of ethics that applied as well as statutes, rules, and regulations. An appropriate ethical decision making model was then selected to be applied to the dilemma with the goal of determining the most ethical course of action to address the dilemma. A model outlined by Forester-Miller & Davis (2016) was applied. The purpose of the project is to discuss spirituality in relation to contemporary psychology supported by evidence-based information. The information used included course materials and texts, journal articles, websites, and library resources dated within the previous five years. The paper outlines what integrative counseling is which is incorporation of God and psychology to help clients improve relationships with themselves, others, and God. The history of integrative counseling and the distinguishing characteristics of integration are also highlighted: worldview and perspective, origin and understanding of human nature, authority, and preparation and empowerment. The skillset and characteristics that should be possessed by an integration counselor are emphasized. Lastly, the paper focuses on the use of explicit and implicit counseling methods and any related ethical concerns.
