Traditional media is the things that have been around for a fair amount of time, it consists of things like radio, magazines and television. If we were to be putting our music video on traditional media, I feel we would be best through a music channel called 'beat cast TV'. I feel we would do best through them for two main reasons, the first being their number of viewers, they have 200,500 viewers, whilst this isn't a scratch on the viewers that MTV has, its target audience is predominantly indie/alternative viewers. This means each of them is more likely to be interested in the music. This channel is easy to be viewed and so can be used by the largest number of people possible.

Because we have an indie artist, we would also have to choose a different magazine to advertise in, as the greatest number of people in the target audience would then see it I personally would advertise it in the magazine named `Indie' it is specifically for artist under the indie genre, whether they are big name or little ones. On top of this, it is the second biggest indie magazine behind Q magazine. The only reason I would not advertise in Q magazine is because the sort of music in that, is on less indie rock, and far more calming indie and a little bit of psychedelic, but not really the Indie Rock genre.

The digipak would be heavily promoted as well. We in would have the poster advert the window of the shop, this will instantly inform people that the album is available there. The second thing we could do, is pay to have the digipak available in a key location, just inside the door for example, this way, people are drawn straight to the product as they walk in. The combination of posters and digipak location will help, but for it to really sell well, we will have to get it available in HMV, the last remaining of the chain high street music shops.

Here is a view of the digipak and the poster side by side, it shows how they are synergised together, using the same typography, similar images, and the same sort of editing, by synergising these two elements together, it makes it easy to recognise that they are for the same album release. This means they promote one and other better. Looking at the typography on the two elements, you will notice that it is the same throughout, with the only variation in typography being where the small print is, this small piece of text is very formal and informative. It is not easily noticed.

The dark colour scheme which works with them both is also important, it makes it much easier to identify them as being a part of the same launch. It is a lot easier to see this than describe it, but when looking you will see the use of the same colours, the same darkness and the same themes throughout both the digipak and the poster advert.

The imagery is also similar, the front cover is the same as I mentioned earlier, but the rest of the imagery is also very similar, we edited them so there would be clear links between the two. You can see how they have an effect over each image, bar the traffic
