I really enjoy this quote for 2 reasons. First, it shows how knowledge comes out of the book without people even knowing like pores in your body allow things out without you knowing. I enjoy this quote for it shows how he feels toward Mildred. Although she can drive him nuts sometimes he still cares about her and wants the  best for her even though they don’t agree on what that may be. Also it shows how he feels bad about not knowing what to make of what he is reading.
