Visual aids like figures and tables not only help in understanding complex data but also provide a breather for readers. Test reports and lab results are not known for being light Sunday reads and can often be confusing. With all the technical jargon and data, it can be challenging to comprehend if you are not part of the engineering community.

Although academic articles are primarily designed to present data and not meant to teach, taking an extra moment to explain the concept further can be incredibly helpful. Doing so not only breaks up the heaviness of the paper but also demonstrates that the author truly understands the topic and is not merely using fancy terminology.
