         <description><![CDATA[<div>I swung the pendulum using 1 earing, then 2, then 3 for 20 seconds and each time it oscillated 18 times.  So, in my investigation, it appears that the weight does not affect number of oscillations.  However, I will wonder, what if I put even more weight on.  These earings are not that heavy.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Changing the release point of the pendulum did not affect the number of swings.  However I did notice that the movement of the pendulum swung wide and then started to slow down.<br>No matter the release point I had around 58 swings per minute.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>No matter how high I started the pendulum, it swung back and forth the same number of times.  I kept trying this over and over thinking that I may have miscounted.  I'm happy to see that others had the same experience.  My pendulum consistently swung back and forth 8 times no matter how high I started the release.          <title>I noticed that there is an engineering component to this. As I tried to change the weight it made it difficult to swing my pendulum effectively. I had lots of mistrials. This could be an engineering lesson too.</title>

I tried 3 different lengths and timed how many swings for 10 seconds. with the longest string, there were 8 swings. With the medium length string, I counted 9 swings.
