4. Start Early: Try not to delay the prayer beyond its prescribed time. Starting your salah early within the prayer window allows for a more relaxed and focused approach.

5. Empty Your Mind: Before starting the prayer, take a moment to clear your mind of worldly distractions. Try to let go of worries and concerns, allowing your thoughts to center on the act of worship.

6. Recite Quranic Verses or Dhikr: Engage in the recitation of Quranic verses or dhikr (remembrance of Allah) before starting the prayer. This helps in setting a spiritual tone and can enhance your connection with Allah.

It's important to note that the hikmah of fasting is multifaceted, encompassing both spiritual and practical aspects. The practice is considered a holistic approach to personal and communal well-being in Islam.

Zakat (زكّى) has a meaning of purification, and those who purify themselves will succeed in the hereafter (قد أفلح من تزكى).

i) Purify wealth: A portion of our earnings belongs to others; hence, we must give it to those who deserve it.

ii) Purify the heart: Reflected in Surah Qasas, where a person, upon becoming wealthy, refused to purify their heart, and divine consequences followed.

Wealth is sensitive; comparing prices at cafes doesn't make us sensitive. Accumulating wealth can lead to arrogance, and thus, Allah urges purification from these behaviors (خذ من أموالهم صدقة).

The second meaning of زكّى is increasing. Hadith emphasizes that giving Zakat increases wealth.

VIRTUES FOUND

i) Seek forgiveness: Al-Ahzab 33:35 encourages seeking forgiveness through Zakat (متصدقين والمتصدقات).

ii) Tazkiyatul nafs: Purify the soul.

iii) Attain the highest level of goodness (bir): Surah Insan 3 mentions the righteous will drink from a cup of camphor.

iv) Erase sins and mistakes: Sins affect our ability to focus in prayer (بقرة 271).

v) Avoid stinginess: Zakat helps prevent avarice.

vi) Multiply rewards: Giving Zakat in Ramadan, when rewards are multiplied, brings blessings (لن تنالوا البر).
