I would want my daycare environment to be a welcome and safe place for all children who are attending my daycare including the parents. I would make sure they have snacks, make sure they go to nap on time. I would have encouraging wall sticker poems by trying to let the parents know this is how much you and your kid are welcome here. Creating an welcoming environment is my big plan, I wouldn’t want my students or children go to a place where they don’t feel welcome.
Being supportive or being supported is another way to show we care. I would ask questions for parents what is right and not right for the student. I would ask the parents by “Is there more we can help here?” Or “What do we need to do to help your child here that is more suitable for you?”. Parents who feel like being supported gets more comfortable dropping off their kids.

Child/children being hungry at home (Jolene)

If a child is hungry, me as a caregiver at the daycare or in a school, id prepare a snack or a meal to fill the child’s stomach to have an energy.

Being the caregiver of a child/children in a daycare, if there isn’t anything to eat at home to get by, id give the parents suggestions on where to get a meal to at least have something in their stomachs, tell them that there is food banks or gather something up as something small can get big to have.

Fostering a supportive environment by encouraging shy children to participate and providing a comfortable space to facilitate a socialization. Since children easily follows their surroundings, a welcoming environment is important.

If I ever work in daycare I would want the children to feel welcome and safe and I would want them to have snacks so they wont be hungry, I would want my children to feel safe and happy.

1. I aim to create a welcoming and safe environment at daycare where children know what’s accessible, what’s not, and feel included, with no one feeling left out or alone.

I want to make sure children receive support from all caregivers, are well cared for and feel safe at daycare, while learning and having fun. No Phone use or smoking is permitted at work. Always eyes on children.

A daycare is a place for children that we adults are caregivers to watch while they’re parents are at work or in college.

We make sure it will be a positive place/investment for everyone of us that is working and the children.

Include every child on activities with a positive mind set and make it enjoyable for them to be involved.
