Aushwitz was the biggest concentration camp. It was known as a extermination & labour camp. Many lives were taken in this camp
either by gas chambers, starvation or illness.
Belzec,Poland was purposely made for exterminating jews. It was a key part of the "Final Solution" . To begin with it was officially a transit camp,a camp for the temporary accommodation of groups of people who are traveling through a country, and it was only later that it got the official transformation to a concentration camp
This image includes hundreds of wedding rings that were taken from the Jews before going into concentration camps. Everything was stripped from them, their hair was shaved off so lice didn't go around & rags were most often used as clothing.
