The second piece could be described as eerie, intense, spine-chilling, and everything in between. It honestly for some odd reason reminded me of the scene in Snow White where she's running through the dark forest while seeing all sorts of monsters. I never thought I would be so interested to listen and see what instruments were going to come in next, but I was. 
The third piece performed was very pleasant. It had a complete opposite tone than the previous which I thought was interesting. It was cheerful, upbeat, and animated. There was a larger inclusion of the woodwinds and for longer periods of time which is why it gave off these characteristics. I also thought it was interesting and cool that the composer for this piece was a female. Every single time that I've ever watched an orchestra perform, the composers were all male. My favorite piece was definitely the second one. It was the one piece that I think did a really great job at telling a story. It began slow (and kind of creepy) before it intensified. In my head, again, I was imagining a scene from Snow White, which is probably weird because I haven't watched or even thought about that film in such a long time. Before taking this class I never listened to any classical music whatsoever, but I find myself listening to it more and more on my own time.
