Being engrossed with the project, he forgot to have his supper one night, so he rushed to take his meal without washing his hands. To his surprise, the bread that he ate tasted sweet! Upon discovering this, he rushed back to his lab and tasted almost all of the contents in the beakers and flasks, subsequently discovering saccharin. </div>]]></description>

One day, Alfred Noble was experimenting with Nitroglycerine, it fell, surprisingly it didn’t explode and Alfred owed his life to sawdust.&nbsp;It soaked the substance. From that day forth, Alfred Noble was known as “Dynamite Noble”. </div>]]></description>

It was in 1930s when Noah McVicker, who owned a soap company, decided to create a substance to be used as wallpaper cleaner.<br> <br> The product worked really well. Eventually, some elementary school teachers learned that it can be used to make school art and craft projects.<br> <br> Noah McVicker and his nephew thought it would be a good idea to market it as modelling compound and they renamed the substance into Play-Doh © .<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Michael Chieng Sun<br>Robert Augustus Chesebrough, a 22 year-old British chemist, travelled to Titusville, a small Pennsylvania town where petroleum had recently been discovered. Chesebrough, who had been making kerosene from the oil of sperm whales, was eager to learn what other products could be made from petroleum. Shortly after arriving in Titusville he became intrigued by a naturally-occurring byproduct of the oil drilling process that seemed to have remarkable skin-healing properties. While watching the oilmen, Chesebrough took note of how they would smear their skin with the residue from the drill to help heal their cuts and burns. Inspired, Chesebrough began his quest to help heal America’s dry skin.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ng Zheng Yao (Augustus)<br>Teflon is often used as a non stick coating for cookware such as pans and muffin tin. Teflon is discovered accidentally by Roy J.Plunket when he was researching for new chlorofluorocarbon refrigerants. He produced a hundred pounds of tetrafluoroethylene gas (TFE) and stored it in small cylinders at dry-ice temperatures. Surprisingly the gas has turned into white powder in the cylinder. He realized that the white powder is chemically inert, heat resistant and have low surface friction.<br><br></div>]]></description>
