From the video, the speaker mentioned about the importance of providing various tools to the students such as peer discusssion, rubrics, and checklist.
Furthermore, the speaker mentioned that assessment of the self or either the peers is not for grading or scoring, but is mainly for giving feedback on what they learnt.
Overall, we can say that the better assessment is when involve the students in the process and we give them the opportunity to evaluate themselves and their peers and the assessement should be as formative and not summative one.

Important points from the video.

In our points of view about self and peers assessment, we noted that the approaches giving positive and good feedback to both students and teachers. Students can learn from their peers of what should be improved. Teachers also will get from the feedback on how to improve and revise his/her teaching strategy.

On the other hand, there are standard used for the assessment such as rubrics, teaching materials so that students have fair assessment, feedback and evaluation.

There are so many protocols that teachers can use and one of them is 'Two Stars and One Wish'. From this as example, students have the chance to reflect on what they have learned and also wish for something that the teacher can change for their better understanding. Its like mutual assessment for the feedback.

So there will be no misconception and both students and teachers will reach the goals of learning.

In conclusion, assessment is nothing if there is no correct way of application and proper feedback.

The following are the important points from the video:
1. They discussed peer and self-assessment using rubrics and criteria standards as constructive protocol.
2. She stressed that the students do not assess themselves but provide feedback to themselves and their peers.
3. She suggested that if the teachers were afraid to try this, they should take outcomes that are comfortable and familiar with and try it with that. Furthermore, she said that she has never met a teacher who regretted doing this. She added that there are some ways to fail but many ways to succeed.
4. Two Star in A Wish was mentioned as a form of an assessment to raise the standard of student's performance as it was designed to provide feedback via peers.
5. She stated that the reason why students NOT to give themselves grades was because they would give themselves an A+ and a fail mark to their enemies.
6.
