College can teach us many things, from life long lessons, to goal setting, and to giving us a path to our future. I had always wanted to be ahead of the game and start college in high school. The classes offered within the school were through CLC, so it just made sense to continue my college path online through CLC.

When looking into my future, I wanted to get done with as much college as I could in high school. I am going for my AA Degree through CLC while I am still in high school. After I graduate from high school and CLC, I am looking to continue my education somewhere close to home.

After CLC, I want to go to college somewhere close to home, possibly St. Cloud State. I want to major in elementary education and minor in special education. Hopefully I can get a teaching job close to Pierz, my hometown, and still be involved in the community.

When it comes to looking for a good, trustworthy site to use for research, sometimes it can be really hard to find. From looking around and familiarizing myself with the CLC website and the video provided for us on how to view the Electronic Databases, I have found a few good ones that I do like the layout and the information provided within.

MasterFILE Premier & Explora
a. Pros
- Layout
- Videos
- Journals
b. Cons
- Which Option to Choose? There are so many!
- Pictures
* I wish there were pictures in front of the book or journal to advertise

I really liked both of these databases because they provided videos. Videos are one of the biggest things that I need when it comes to learning online. Hearing somebody talk about something makes it a lot easier. A lot of the other databases had videos you could view but MasterFILE Premier and Explora had the best quality ones and I thought the top information was the best given from these two.

Differences Between High School and College

High school is like a whole different world compared to college. I have not actually been to a college, but I have taken courses through my high school and online. The classes can be a little tougher but I have learned that as long as you communicate with the instructors, you will do just fine. I remember being really nervous and thinking, "oh how can I do this, I am not smart enough." I know it can make you really nervous to start something new, but now I am a lot more confident in what I do.

Who or what is most valuable to you?

We get asked this question many times in our lives. It changes from time to time and as you get older you start to see from an adult perspective. Now that I am older, when I get asked this question, I think about it a little more in depth and why that person or thing that I chose is most valuable to me.
My family, friends, and time are the most valuable things to me. My family and friends are valuable to me because they are always the ones who are there for me at times when I need someone most. They are also the ones who would do anything for me at any moment in my life. Time is valuable to me because as I have gotten older, I have realized how fast life has been flying by. I am already a senior and I look back and think to myself, "gosh, I wish I was more involved in certain sports, clubs, and activities."
When I look back in my past, I see the mistakes I have made or the things that maybe if I would have made a different decision, how different life would be now. I realize how important my family, friends, and time is to me. Everything in life can be so precious, so make life the most you can!

1. Graduate High School in the spring of 2021 with the help of teachers, classmates, and staff.
2. Graduate CLC with my AA Degree in the spring of 2021. This will take dedication and commitment along with the graduation of high school.
3. Buy my own car after saving up enough money. I recently got a job this summer and started saving money.
4. Get a scholarship to play softball in college. I really enjoy playing softball and it would be a dream of mine to continue playing after high school in college.
5. Go to college at St. Cloud State after High School. I have always wanted to stay close to home and save money by living at home.
6. Apply for as many scholarships as possible to start saving towards college. It is always good to apply and get as much money as possible for college. College is expensive so it helps to fill out scholarships.
7. Stay on the A Honor Roll for the last two semesters of my senior year in high school. I have been on the A Honor Roll all throughout high school, it would be really cool to say that I was on the A Honor Roll all four years of high school.
8. Save up money for a laptop or Macbook for college. As mentioned in goal 3, I got a job and started saving money. I also want a good working computer that I can rely on for college courses.
9. Get as involved in high school clubs and activities as I can, this last year possible and with covid. If I could change anything in high school, I would say to be more involved. I want to be as involved my senior year as possible, even though we might struggle through covid.
10. Make as many Senior Year memories as possible with friends, close family, and my classmates. Memories will last forever so you make the best ones you can. This is the last year that we will be together with all of the people we spent that last 12/13 years of our lives with, make the most out of the time left!

Time Management Habits

Before I took this class and learned more about time management, I had my mom to manage most of the events in my life. Now that I am getting older and have a job, I have started to manage my own time. I am really good when it comes to planning out my schedule and what I am going to do in my day. I am not good at finding time to do homework and activities just for me. Now that school has started, I have been having a hard time finding time to do things that I enjoy doing. I go to school from 8am-3pm, go to work after school until 7pm, and do not get home until 7:45-8pm. Then I get to do hours worth of homework that I am constantly trying to catch up with. I need to get into a routine and not change it. I also might need to talk to my boss about working too many hours and having some time off.

Time Management Strategies

My main strategy for time management is using my daily planner and the reminders on my phone. I list out what I am doing each day at each time, what I have to do for each and when things are due or need reminding of for each. My mom also helps me keep my head on top of my body because sometimes I just come home and ramble everything to her and she helps me manage everything. I think I will continue to use my daily planner and reminders on my phone. I think I may print something off or purchase a white board to write it out. I think I could put priorities on top and go lower down from there and make time for each.
