The video talks about how the brain is trained to pull away from parents around the teenage years because of the transition from childhood to adulthood. You can see this in The Crucible when Abby is using the feelings she has for John to take over and control the other emotions and actions to get what she wants and by doing that, to her, she is making a adult decision and going into the adult world thinking she knows what shes doing.
