Per inviare e ricevere della posta prende tanto tempo. La posta è spesso persa o rubata così è importante assicurare la posta. Il servizio postale americano è molto più affidabile in confronto. Se si vivi in Italia, è meglio ordinare solo nell’Unione Europea. L’Italia ha fatto piccoli miglioramenti alle opzioni di poste negli ultimi dieci anni. Ora ci sono molti servizi di consegna tra scegliere. Ad esempio c’è BRT Correiere Expresso, TNT, Poste Italiane, iolnvio, UPS, FedEx, SDA, GLS Italy. Il blogger di questo articolo racconta le sue terribili esperienze. Quando ha ordinato DVD dal Giappone, ha dovuto pagare venticinque dollari un dogano e tasse. Il blogger ha anche condiviso una storia si amici. Il suo amico ha ricevuto una scatola di cioccolatini da sua madre con pezzi mancanti! Le poste italiane hanno un brutto passato ma è un bene che stiano lentamente migliorando.

This allows for growth in the privatization of different postal carriers. To compare, the United States is more in favor of the government-owned post office (USPS). While countries like Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom have done well under postal privatization, it is not expected that Italy will because of the weak past. When the Poste Italiane saw a big decline in revenue from mail and parcel delivery, they expanded the postal service to work with insurance, banking, and retail at post offices. This is odd because the insurance companies and banks in Italy were privatized in the 1990s. This mixing back into government-owned insurance and banking under the postal service makes for unclear missions to the public. The partial privatization will likely not keep the government-owned Poste Italiane from having such a large control because they are mixing into other fields and have office locations in almost every town and city in Italy. There is hope that the partial privatization will help the country because the partial privatization of other Italian companies in the past led to the modernization of governance.

Despite attempts to rebrand and modernize the logo, the mail service still is not the best. The workers at the postal offices are kind and helpful but the system as a whole is the problem. Poste Italiane, according to this blogger is good at sending and receiving letters within Italy and the EU. He also explains that there is little problem receiving letters from the United States as long as people expect it to take a long time to arrive and expect that bigger packages will require duty payment. Paying bills and getting money through Poste Italiane is okay mainly because they have the partial bank aspect. The bad part of Poste Italiane comes with sending mail to the United States, shipping a package, and address changes. Sending mail to the United States take a very long time. Shipping packages is difficult because there can be no logo on the box and it is very expensive to ship. If you change your address, you have to pay a $30 - $40 fee. It is important to note these difficulties with living or visiting Italy and be ready to face them!
